Of Suffolk's 1060 members, 33 have as their primary club one outside the county and 41 do not play at any club (they are either direct subscription members, or students in the Bridge for All programme).

Numbers in the 'secondary' column refer to players who are members of the named club but their primary is elsewhere. Club membership (see right) is at least the sum of the primary and secondary numbers. The remaining columns ('sole', 'x2', 'x3', etc,) are a breakdown of the primary membership, counting those who belong to just the named club then, inclusively, two clubs, three clubs, etc.

Membership Data

These data pertain to Suffolk members: if a member of Essex or Norfolk belongs to a Suffolk club they will not appear here as the Suffolk Membership Secretary cannot see them. Therefore actual club membership will be higher than the numbers identified here.

For any questions on membership contact the county Membership Secretary, details on the Committee Page.

Primary Clubs

The concept of 'Primary Club' is more administrative than a question of rights. For example Suffolk makes no stipulation that club representation (in Summer League, Club Teams of Four/Eight) requires primary membership. However when the EBU communicates with a member, say for Master Point promotions, it will inform the member's Primary Club.

When clubs with many members in common first registered their players in April 2010, primary-status was recorded to the first registration made. Members can redesignate their primary status via the EBU Members Area.
